Steve Breitman – Founder

Steve trained as a CPA and has over 30 years of accounting, financial and operational management experience. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, Magna Cum Laude, with a BBA in Accounting. Steve’s career path led him to work in public accounting and to hold a variety of management positions including CFO, Regional Controller, Corporate Director of Management Reporting, Executive Director and Regional Manager. He had management responsibility for 6 business sites with 175 employees and $20 million in revenue as well as reporting responsibility for 25 business sites with $120 million in revenue.

Steve gives back to the community by volunteering his time. He serves as the Past Chairman of the Better Business Bureau Boulder Advisory Board, is a Board Member of the Better Business Bureau Foundation and is a volunteer consultant for the Small Business Development Center.

Steve is an avid backpacker and hiker. His favorite memories come from a 30 day trip in Alaska, completing the tough 4 Pass Loop around the Maroon Bells in Colorado and extended trips in Wyoming’s Wind River Range.  Steve also is a Certified Meditation Teacher.

Debbie Breitman – VP of Team & Client Operations

Debbie Breitman – VP of Team & Client Operations

Debbie joined Mindful Business Solutions in 2007. As VP of Team & Client Operations she facilitates the collaborative teamwork that takes place between clients and MBS and between employees within MBS. She is charged with insuring our clients’ experience is the best it can be. In addition, Debbie serves a wide variety of clients providing bookkeeping services and back office support.

Debbie has had a diverse and interesting career. Early on she had her own catering business and served as Chef on movie star George Hamilton’s yacht. Later she served as the Development Associate for Outward Bound where she was in charge of event planning and assisted in fundraising. Debbie was a bookkeeper for Cherry Creek High School where she oversaw departmental purchases and insured budget compliance. Later on she founded and ran a successful massage therapy company.

Debbie volunteers her time as the Fundraising Chair for the Theatre Department Parent’s Association at Fairview High School. She also served as the Treasurer for the PTA. Debbie loves to garden and cook. One little known fact: Debbie once won the Showcase on the Price is Right game show.  Debbie also is a Certified Yoga Instructor.

 Rupa Krishamani – Bookkeeper

Rupa Krishamani – Bookkeeper

Rupa started her career in India where she earned an MBA, then went to work for a local accounting firm. She then moved on to IBM and then to Honeywell as a Senior Process Consultant. At each stage she gained valuable knowledge and experience about accounting, business processes and how they work together to affect the bottom line. When she moved to the U.S. she was more than ready to take on the challenges that the position of Assistant Controller brings.

Rupa joined Mindful Business Solutions in 2014. She has shown a knack for quickly understanding complex bookkeeping situations and creating simple processes for clients to follow.

Rupa supports various nonprofit organizations such as Doctors Without Borders, Bread for the World and American Cancer Society.  In her spare time, Rupa enjoys gardening, cooking, painting, biking and spending time with her kids.  She believes Mahatma Gandhi’s words, “Be the change you wish to see in the world” reflect a responsible philosophy to live by.
